Come and join us at Hartland's Mid-Summer Charity Weekend!
A fun-packed fundraising weekend for the whole family - Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd June 2008

Our two previous Hartland Charity Weekends raised an amazing £60,000 for our chosen charities. This year, with YOUR help, we hope to raise even more.   All proceeds generated throughout the weekend will be donated equally between the North Devon Hospice and the local branch of Cancer Research UK, so dig deep and come join us for a weekend of great entertainment, wonderful local arts & crafts, Farmers' Market produce, and lots of fun!

This year, we have even more for you to enjoy:
  -  Dress to impress on the FRIDAY night at the "Mid-Summer Ball" - the most glamorous evening of the year!
  -  SATURDAY is "Jazz Night" of the very highest calibre: Kenny Ball, Digby Fairweather & Val Wiseman
  -  Enjoy an afternoon out for all the family on SUNDAY and visit the "Country Fayre & Farmers Market"


The North Devon Hospice is a local charity providing specialist care and support to those with a life-threatening illness and to their loved ones, completely free of charge. Every day, they help 80 people cope with the impact of cancer or other serious illness. They specialise in the kind of care that medicine alone cannot provide. By considering a person's physical, emotional and spiritual needs, it  provides a care package tailored to the individual and their family.  Only with the support of the local community through money or time donated, can the NDH ensure that it continues to be a lifeline to many people in North Devon.

Cancer Research UK is the world's leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research. The charity supports research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 3,000 scientists, doctors and nurses. It is the European leader in the development of anti-cancer treatments, and is training the next generation of cancer scientists and doctors.  Cancer Research UK is almost entirely funded by donations from the public.
 
Set in the beautiful grounds of the 12th century Hartland Abbey, the 2008 Mid-Summer Charity Weekend is set to be our biggest and best yet!  So join us to help to raise much needed money for these very worthy charities.  We look forward to seeing you there.
