Sunday 22nd June - Traditional Country Fayre and Farmers Market

Come and enjoy the beautiful gardens of Hartland Abbey.

On the Sunday we’ll have an array of wonderful local arts and crafts for sale.  A great Farmers Market with local producers of meat, cakes, cheeses, herbs, plants & flowers.

  -  Stock up on local meats, cheeses, chutneys and pickles
  -  Beautiful pottery and local photography
  -  Enjoy a traditional Devonshire Cream Tea on the lawns of the beautiful Hartland Abbey
  -  Have a go on one of the many stalls and sideshows, whilst listening to the Hartland Town Band
  -  Be entertained by the local schoolchildren demonstrating their traditional maypole dance routines
  -  Watch an amazing Birds of Prey Display by Jonathan Marshall!
  -  Bring your family dog and entry them into the 'Family Fun Dog Show' - there's a class for all types!
  -  Enter the 'Welly Throwing' competition - classes for children and adults
  -  Kids - get creative and make a fancy dress costume (theme:  Nursery Rhymes) - great prizes to be won!

PLUS amazing displays from 2 of the top experts in the land:

Jonathan Marshall and his breath-taking 'Birds of Prey' display and David Kennard and his sheepdogs with a special guest appearance by MIST, star of the 'MIST - Sheepdog tales' on Channel 5.

Or perhaps, simply take a leisurely stroll down to the sea at Blackpool Mill - the cottage by the sea was recently featured in the BBC adaptation of 'Sense & Sensibility' as the setting for the Dashwood's Devonshire home 'Barton Cottage'.

We’re delighted to have Hartland Town Band playing during the afternoon, and traditional Devonshire Cream Teas and ice creams are available throughout.

Plus a traditional merry-go-round for the kids and the young at heart and a selection of other fun fairground attractions, face painting, a delicious BBQ, traditional stalls & sideshows, and much more.

There's so much to see and do, a great afternoon out for all the family.
